CrossWeave

Recordings

CrossWeave cover This, the third recording under the dual leadership of trumpeter Clay Jenkins and altoist Kim Richmond, represents an evolvement and a branching out. The title is "CrossWeave" and presents cutting-edge bebop-tinged jazz.
The sidemen are among the best of New York improvisationalists, evidence of Clay's present link with the East Coast. Though he still works often in Los Angeles and other parts of the country, Clay is now on the jazz faculty at Eastman School of Music. Kim continues to work in and out of Los Angeles.
Rich Perry
is one of the most creative tenor players in New York City and is a member of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra and the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra.
Harold Danko, bassist Jeff Campbell and drummer Rich Thompson are in high demand individually and collectively as the Eastman Faculty Jazz Trio. Harold is known for his work with Thad Jones/Mel Lewis, Chet Baker, and Lee Konitz as well as his own quartet recordings with Rich Perry. Jeff Campbell has worked with Marian McPartland, Harold Jones, Reggie Thomas, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. Rich Thompson has performed and recorded with The Count Basie Orchestra, James Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry, the RPO, and many others. Released by the Origin Arts label
